Ivy Leaf

Ivy Leaf is situated in the Carlton area of Nottingham and is registered for 14 Residents. We specialise in caring for Dementia and those with physical disabilities and old age. The Home is a large, detached, period property, set in a quiet suburban street and is truly a home from home for our Residents.

We understand that choosing the right care home is a big decision and one that should be made with assistance from relatives and loved-ones. We encourage prospective Residents and family members to assist in visits to ensure they feel comfortable in our home.

To the rear of the Home we have a large patio area which is very popular with our Residents and is ideal for meals outside and enjoying a chat in the sunshine.

We believe it’s extremely important to promote independence and understand that all of our residents should be treated as individuals so each member has a plan of care designed around their requirements and preferences, granting them choice in aspects of their daily routine. We also welcome regular visits from family and friends.

We are committed to keeping our staff up to date with changing procedure and legislation using a continuous staff training programme.

Our Registered Manager, Ash Boodoo,  is always happy to speak to any visitors or callers.

All of our rooms are singles with en suite facilities. All rooms are decorated to a very high standard and have both nurse call systems and TV & telephone points.

Our Residents is invited to bring in any personal items, such as photographs and ornaments, or small pieces of furniture which they feel will make their rooms more homely.

As well as our homely, friendly lounge and dining rooms, we also have quieter rooms where Residents can entertain visitors, or simply have a little reflection time.

Activities and Cuisine

Meal times are very important at Ivy Leaf; with both good nutrition and social interaction in mind. Our in-house catering team only serve freshly cooked meals, using the best available ingredients, locally grown where possible.

We are happy to cater for any special diets, such as coeliac and diabetic, as well as for vegetarians etc. We also take cultural differences into account when preparing our varied menus.

At Ivy Leaf we believe that active minds and bodies promote general well being and our Activities Coordinator plans a daily schedule of activities for our Residents, with something for everyone, whether they are very mobile or not so.

Our regular excursions are also very popular, and again, we try to offer something to suit everyone.
